Using the inherent quality of this specific clay, I have sought to create a tableware sculpture that is “stuck in time”, or petrified (hence the name). I also had a thought of making a sort of shadow tableware, slightly distorted and rough-surfaced, in contrast to regular tableware, which is normally white with a smooth surface.
